It was very cool to talk to Michael Sherrill last weekend at the NC Museum of Art.
As well, we got to see some of his gorgeous work up close and personal. Stunning works of art!

Happy Spring Mugs!
Just listed these mugs on Etsy and I have to say...I just love them! They have such a great look. The body of the mug is unglazed and has a nice earthy feel, while the rim and handle has a soft, shiny glaze that is so soft and smooth. I may have to make a set for myself!

I have decided to begin blogging again. Now that I am "officially" an instructor at the brand new Clayton Community Center , as well as the Pottery Studio Coordinator. I will be posting information about the programs there, about my work, and all things pottery !
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned!
This is one of my newest pieces that I am handbuilding. Sometimes I need to take a break from the wheel and handbuilding has been very satisfying. This is high fire porcelain with Shaner's Oribe glaze fired in a reduction atmosphere.
